Zaporizhzhia Championship in Ukrainian Hand-to-Hand Spas

Honoring the memory of the legendary commander of the Ukrainian Revolutionary Insurgent Army Nestor Makhno, on November 15, the Spas team held the Zaporizhzhia Championship in Ukrainian hand-to-hand combat Spas in the cross-country wrestling section. The competition was organized by the Department of Sports, Family and Youth of the Zaporizhzhia City Council and the Zaporizhzhia Regional Federation of Cossack Martial Arts Spas. The tournament was attended by 163 athletes from the Spas Youth and Sports School, the Spas Youth and Sports School of the UR, the Vidar Sports Club, the Khortytsky Academic Lyceum, and the Zaporizhzhia Sich Gymnasium.

The competition was opened by the president of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Federation of Cossack Martial Arts Spas Konstantin Ryzhov. The athletes were greeted by the deputy of the Department of Sports, Family and Youth of the Zaporizhzhia City Council Valery Bogdan, participants of the Moscow-Ukrainian War Mykola Khorishko, Mykhailo Pirog, and Igor Ilyushkin. The competition was held in a fierce struggle, the young athletes showed courage, strength of spirit and desire for victory. Zaporizhzhia rescuers once again showed their devotion to the traditions of the Cossack brotherhood, Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Zaporizhzhia Cossacks!
