Ukrainian hand-to-hand combat competition Spas — "Zaporozhye Zvytyaha" among schoolchildren
On December 10, a bright and inspiring event took place in Zaporizhzhia, uniting the tradition, strength and spirit of the Ukrainian Cossacks. As part of the program for the development of the Cossack custom "Spas" for 2023–2028, which is implemented by the Zaporizhzhia City Council, and at the initiative of the All-Ukrainian Federation "Spas" and the Zaporizhzhia School "Spas", a competition in Ukrainian hand-to-hand combat "Spas" - "Zaporizhzhya Zvytya" among schoolchildren was held.
The event was dedicated to the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the anniversary of the revival of the modern Zaporizhzhia Cossacks, which is celebrated on December 8 - the day when in 1991 the beginning of a new stage in the development of the Cossack movement was officially announced.
At the beginning of the event, the participants of the competition were greeted with a bright performance by the Folk Dance Ensemble DRUZHBA - the Extracurricular Education Institution "Center for Creativity of Children and Youth of the Oleksandrivsky District", headed by Olenyak V.
The competition was held in sections unique to the traditions of the Savior — "Take off your hat" and "Lava na lavu", where the children not only demonstrated physical fitness, but also the ability to act as a team, show honor, will and mutual support - traits that have shaped the Ukrainian warrior since ancient times.

Each participant demonstrated respect for traditions, endurance and true Cossack courage. Such events not only develop strength and agility, but also form in young people a deep sense of national belonging, pride in their history and readiness to stand up for Ukrainian values.
Cossack pedagogy is the foundation on which conscious, free and responsible Ukrainian youth grow.
We sincerely thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the opportunity to raise children as Ukrainians and Cossacks, in peace and strength of spirit.
Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes!
